  • So...

My question would be... is there anyone left on xanga? Hello? Helloooo??? (echo)... hmm... I guess I'm just wondering if any one is left on this lonely island. Who uses Xanga? Yeah ok, maybe a couple people. But if you are reading this, comment... just 'cause I was to see whos here and yeah... even if there's anyone left. Have a nice week.

  • Once upon a time.... I used to blog. But it was... once upon a time... Now I'm grown and off in college... pity. Actually, I'm still at home, but I'm going to a college nearby. You probably already know though, so yeah, it does not even matter if I blog that or not.
Yes, I'm at Andrews University, and no, you shouldn't be surprised. Why? 'Cause you already follow me on FB... yes, facebook. or... Twitter... Who uses xanga anymore? The only reason I got on xanga was to block some random user who sent me a weird message. wow.
Xanga! yea! cool... it's like all new again! er... not. If you do happen to use this blogging service, good for you, I guess I'm just a busy person now... and I'd rather post stuff on blogspot anyways. Is anyone on here anymore? Somehow I think this is just an oldschool thing now. maybe it's just me.
So like... after my random musings you're thinking what's the point here? did I just waste 2 minutes to read some guy's rantings? Yes you did... congratulations! Have a wonderful summer!

    Peace,

    Pieter

  • Yeah, I'm here. Haven't blogged for a really long time... if you're disappointed... sorry... if not... cool. I have about 2 months left here at Wildwood. Its going pretty fast. But, its typical for life... things never slow down... unless you're bored... So yeah... right now... two things are... completely outta control... the first thing is politics and the other thing is economics. Technically neither of these things are really a huge part of my life, but I am considering everything right now. This is what I'm finding... You know how its fall, the wonderful, cooler weather? There are no bugs, the leaves are coloring and falling off the trees, and its getting darker early. These all show that it will soon be winter. Just as these simple little things show that winter is coming on shortly, everything with the politics and economy and world jitters, just show that soon Jesus will be coming back.
Some people may say YAY!.... But if you were to ask them right off, would they be ready? Now I'm asking you... Are you ready? Times are getting colder, the economy is falling, and people are dying right and left like bugs. Yes it is fall, as in a season, but this world also is fallen. We weren't meant to be comfortable here, and if you are comfortable, take heed lest you fall. Right now the door of opportunity is wide open, choose life. There will not always be that opportunity. "Call upon Him while He is near." (Isa 55—) So everyone, don't get caught up in that which hinders life, that hinders your walk, and that which overall cuts your connection with the Creator.
Enjoy your moments and your days, but always see to it that you walk in the footsteps of Christ. Now is the time to learn. Someday you may not be able to download sermons off audioverse, and you won't have your pastor by your side to defend your beliefs. While you have the time to learn... seek knowledge, not just any knowledge, but the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Stay strong, learn, and have a blessed weekend!

    Sincerely,

    Pieter

  • Goodbye August, Welcome September!

What now? The summer is almost over, most schools have started, and its just another Labor day weekend. The summer has been enjoyed by many people, while others have not appreciated very much. Business continues on, as normal, with absolutely no problem, people unworried about life in general. Unfortunately many people aren't worried about their spiritual condition either, its really a pity. But then there's also something that bothers me, there's those worried about last day events, don't get me wrong, its a good thing to watch, but why worry. And when it comes to "time-setting," common' guys! You know inspiration condemns it, even if it is some general time for something bad to take place, like September. Then there's all these theories and ideas about the "the government this, the government that..." "We need to save up food for the time of trouble..." etc...
I just want to share a verse with you all, "Finally brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of a good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." (Phil. 4:8) Yes, that verse is familiar, but if you take time to analyze it and compare it with theories and rumors that are going around these days, consider well your belief in them, if you do. Our duty now, as believers in Christ, to patiently watch, wait, and work. Don't be distracted or worried, instead, trust God and seek to praise Him for what He has done in your life, and what He will do through you. Have a happy month!

About Me

  • I'm currently a student at Andrews University, which means I go to school there. My family is the Damsteegt family, and I'll just say, "Don't mess with da family." My sister's name is Joelle (then there's Melanie, but she's not my "blood" sister). Joelle is married to Norman with therefore means she is a McNulty, and there is an alliance there, so be careful. I have one dog, one cat, one bird... and the pets all love each other, at least I think they do... The dog's name is Thor, he's a great dog to play with... Kite flying is one of the most enjoyable things that I find to do... when there is wind. Then there's playing the guitar and piano... those are fun to work with, if you're not in front of a lot of people... I also really enjoy camping, hiking, running, canoeing, and being a blessing wherever I can.
